Sparkling Water Paloma Drink Recipe

Spakrling Water Alcoholic Beverages

So, I wish I was that cool college girl that knew what a paloma was, but I just wastn’t. I was that “cool“ college girl who drank whiskey, because who the heck knows why. Anyways, here nor there…. definetly don’t want to spend any more time talking about my college days.

If I had been cool I would have known what this drink was, and I would have loved it. Think margarita (the best drink every invented), but add in grapefruit. I happened into this drink, and it is a house favorite now.

We had some friends over for dinner, it was that first “lets see if we can be friends“ night. Which we openly joked about, so I knew it was going to work out. I ran out of alcohol. I don’t even remember what we were drinking, but I ran out. I have grapefruits, grapefruit sparkling water, and tequila. So, I just went for it. Now come it find I out I in no way invented this drink. BUT maybe we should just let me have it.

Oh, and yes we are still friends with the original paloma drinkers!

Sparkling Water Paloma

  • 1 shot tequila

  • 1/4 cup grapfruit juice (if you want to buy juice)

  • 1 T lime juice

  • 1 T simple syrup

  • 4 ounces grapefruit sparkling water (I use, this is also good)

How to Make it:

  1. Make your simple syrup. I just keep a jar of this in the fridge. It is equal parts water and honey combined on low heat on the stove.

  2. Rim the glass with salt and add in ice.

  3. In the glass add in tequila, simple syrup, lime, and grapefruit juice. Stir.

  4. Top with grapefruit juice. Garnish with grapefruit wedge.

Notes On Recipe

  • Buy 100% agave tequila. Not only does it jyst taste better, but it is better for you. LIttle tip, the more clear the liquor the better it is for you system.

  • Garnishing the drink is pretty easy. Just dip the side or rim of the glass in grapefruit juice. then dip in to some coarse sea salt.
