Ground Turkey Pizza (Crust), Meatza

Gluten free pizza crust, perfect for a low carb keto diet

Pizza With Meat Crust

You have read this right. It is pizza with a crust made entirely from meat. I know, I know you are either thinking this is totally awesome...  or gross, I would never.  Bare with me either way... please?

There are so many efforts to make pizza "healthy, "  cauliflower crust, veggie supreme (not pizza in my opinion), and gluten free. Honestly, for the most part these are all pretty complicated options. This meat pizza crust is by far the easiest way I have found to make a healthy pizza that my family loves.

I wouldn't call my kids picky, they had no idea it wasn't actually a pizza crust. For being ground meat it is pretty stable and of course, yummy.

simple, fun and different week night dinner recipe. Meatza crust without an egg.

Lately, I have really been loving not putting a ton of effort into meal planning each week. We have themed nights that I change up a little bit, here and there. For example we always have a taco night (Friday's), a pizza night, a sheet pan night, and one easy sausage and vegetable night.

This pizza is a great way to change up that normal pizza night, and it is packed full of nutrients. There are no pointless carbs, all kinds of good fats, heavy protein, and even some vegetables to round it all out!

Ground Turkey Meatza

  • 2 flax eggs, or two regular eggs
  • 1 lb ground trukey
  • 1 tsp chill powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1 8oz can pizza sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped spinach
  • 3 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
  • 1 bunch green onion, chopped

How to Make it:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.  Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.  Thinly slice the red bell pepper.
  2. Mix all the crust ingredients together.  Put onto the cookie sheet. Use your hands to flatten out the turkey into a round pizza crust. Put the bell pepper on the side of the pan with the crust.
  3. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. While baking prepare the toppings.
  4. Remove from the oven and add toppings.
  5. Put back in the oven and bake for 5 or 10 minutes. Serve.

Notes On Recipe:

  • If you want to make this pizza without it being Mexican then leave the chili power out of the crust. Then use whatever topping you would like.
  • I left cheese off this pizza, because we are dairy free. However, you can definitely put cheese on this pizza.
