Snacks 101

Snacks are hard… snacking is not. If you don’t plan ahead on snacks then you will be starving one afternoon and head to the snack machine. My advice... just try to plan ahead so you make good choices. Here are my favorites.

I don’t recommended anything to you I wouldn’t do myself. So these are simple, simple and require very little prep. Mix and match and get creative with pairing the fruits and veggies with the dips and spreads.

Fruits and Veggies:

  • Berries
  • Grapes (try freezing them)
  • Cherries
  • Apples, Pears, Peaches (Slice them ahead of time so you are sure to eat them, heck just buy of these)
  • Oranges, Grapefruits (cuties are a huge hit in my family)
  • Snap Peas
  • CarrotsCucumbers (You can make rounds into little sandwiches, fill with a spread or tune)
  • Celery
  • Jicama (this is so good with a little lime juice squeezed on it)
  • Zucchini (raw I know you haven’t had it like this, but give it a try)
  • Bell peppers

Dips/Spreads:

  • Guacamole (Just pack the avocado and dip the chip right in, or buy it pre-made)
  • Hummus
  • Almond Butter (try this great packs by Justin's)
  • Pesto
  • Babaganus (This is an eggplant dip that is fabulous… I know it shouldn’t be but it is) 
  • Salsa
