Simple Sheet Pan Dinner
"Burgers" are something we eat on the reg in this house. Why? A few reasons... ground meat is WAY cheaper than most cuts. This helps cut down on an already high grocery bill. Also, oven roasted burgers come out tasting great, and are a set it and forget it kind of meal. Lastly, ground meats cook significantly faster than other cuts of meats. Did I say we eat burgers on the reg?
This sheet pan meal is a great change up to the mundane week night meal. It is something fun and different, that I promise the husband will love. All you have to do is set this one up and throw it in the oven.
If you have followed me for any amount of time you know I know love sheet pan dinners. I just really don't think it gets any more simple than that. Below is a link to my favorite sheet pan. If you don't have a sheet pan do not worry you can use a cookie sheet. A few notes on that though. You have to watch it closely because you don't want it running off and creating a huge mess in your oven. Parchment paper will help absorb the run off. I use grass fed beef which is not as fatty, and haven't had any problems with a cookie sheet.
This recipe is: Paleo, Whole 30, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Egg Free, and Sheet Pan.
Paleo, Whole30 Salisbury Steak Burgers
4 red potatoes
2 T avocado oil
1/4 tsp each salt and pepper
2 cups diced mushrooms
1/2 an onion
1 pound ground beef
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. yellow mustard
1 T. ketchup (sugar free)
1/4 cup almond flour
2 garlic cloves, minced
How to Make it:
Preheat oven to 425.
Cut up potatoes into bite sized pieces. (The smaller you cut them the faster they will cook and the crispier they will be). Then toss with olive oil, salt and pepper. Spread out on a sheet pan and put into the oven. Cook for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, cut up your onion and mushrooms. Set aside.
In a bowl combine remaining ingredients, using your hands form into four hamburger patties.
When 15 minute timer goes off (finish up the above steps if not completed) remove potatoes from the oven. Toss the potatoes with the onions and mushrooms. Move to one side of the pan.
Place the four hamburger patties onto the pan. Put the pan back into the oven.
Cook for another 15-17 minutes. Serve!
