Sparkling Water Margarita

This is the last article of the sparkling water occktail series. What did you all think? We may have to bring it back every May. You just let me know… when the people speak! ;)

I told you all that when I decided to put together these recipes I decided to test them on our friends. Almost all our friends are parents. Our house was nuts. Everyone had a different drink (glass garnish and all), and I was running around snaping photos. This is of NIcole acutally. While I was taking these photos her daughter was asking me all kinds of questions about how I knew her parents. Which is a straight up funny story. I knew them in high schoo, we were all in class together. Me and NIcole’s husband sat in the back and NIcole set in the front, middle seat. She balanaces voth of us out in pretty awesome ways.

Try explaining all that to a five year old, while you host, test maybe a few to many drinks, and photograph. I love doing this blog so much.

Healthy Sparkling Water Margarita Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 shot of blanco tequla

  • juice of one lime or 2 T lime juice

  • 1 T simple syrup - water and honey

  • 4 ounces of Lime Sparkling Water

How to Make it:

  1. Make your simple syrup. I just keep a jar of this in the fridge. It is equal parts water and honey combined on low heat on the stove.

  2. Garnish your glass with salt, add in ice.

  3. Then put in the tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup. Stir.

  4. Add the sparkling water on top. Put a lime wedge on the side and enjoy..

Notes On Recipe

  • Buy 100% agave tequila. Not only does it jyst taste better, but it is better for you. LIttle tip, the more clear the liquor the better it is for you system.

  • Garnishing the drink is pretty easy. Just dip the side or rim of the glass in lime juice. then dip in to some coarse sea salt.
